EVERNOTE FOR MAC MAIL UPDATE
Sending emails to your Evernote account helps you to keep your inbox clear when you get those emails that you don’t know what to do with yet, or you need it for reference for a project or a client. 1 hour ago &0183 &32 Twitter has been flooded with complaints over the past few days as users allege that Cupertino-based Apples latest iOS 16.4.1(a) update has diminished their iPhones ability to hold charge. I just use note links to add this information into my client forms. Unfortunately, it doesn’t allow me to drag and drop messages into Evernote, but because it has so many other features it’s worth the extra step of creating a note link if I want to have access to the email in context. But what I really love about it is that it when you open the note in Evernote it includes a link to the original email that will open it in Spark. When you choose to export, it will open a small window that shows you what will be included in the note, as well as allow you to add tags, choose the notebook it will go into and add additional notes. I choose “E”, and just like that I can send the email into Evernote without having to forward it.

You can customize a short cut to export to these services. One of these features is the ability to link different services, one being Evernote. It has a crazy amount of features, most of which are an Apple Mail killer. Spark is a free email client for Mac that I would gladly pay money for. That way if I copied the information wrong, or something doesn’t look right I can quickly refer to the email. For example, if a client emailed me a list of specs for their project, I would add specs to my client form, and also add the email. What I liked about this method is that I could put the email icon in context. When you double click on it, Evernote will open the message in Mail. If you use Apple Mail, you can drag the mail message from the Mail window right into a note in Evernote, and it will show up as it’s own icon. I’d much rather quickly choose which messages in my Inbox I needed in Evernote.

I used to have a rule in Apple Mail that automatically forwarded certain email messages directly into Evernote. The problem is that now you have to be on the paid version. Evernote gives you a special email address that you can use to forward email messages to.
